What Is Remote Reiki and What Happens in a Session?

A grounded starting point for your curiosity.

Reiki is a spiritual wellness practice that some people use to make space for rest and reflection. In my remote sessions, we meet online, discuss how you feel and what you hope to bring to the experience, and allow time for you to rest. There is no requirement to feel a particular sensation.

How can a session be remote?

You join from a place where you feel comfortable. We begin with a check-in, then you can sit or lie down during the quiet part of the appointment. At the end we talk briefly about what you noticed, if anything. You do not need to travel to Austin; I work with clients online from here.

How do I prepare?

Choose a private, comfortable setting. Wear clothes you can relax in, and keep water nearby if you wish. Remove jewelry only if it helps you feel comfortable. Share accessibility needs or boundaries in the intake form.

What should I expect afterward?

People describe their experiences differently, and no health or emotional outcome is promised. Reiki does not diagnose or treat a condition and should not replace medical or mental health care.
